We are Educational eXcellence and Inclusion Training Opportunities (ÉXITO) and our mission is to train current and future Ethnic Studies educators.
Undergraduate Pipeline Program
The ÉXITO undergraduate pipeline program is for highly motived students to earn a Bachelor of Arts in one of the Ethnic Studies departments or Feminist Studies within the College of Letters and Science at UCSB and apply to a Master’s Degree in Education and a Teaching Credential program.
Summer Institute
Summer Institute supports and addresses the timely need for educators to meet the Ethnic Studies high school graduation requirement in California. Participants will also work closely with community members and UCSB faculty doing Ethnic Studies work to best meet the demands of the state, districts, and most importantly, our students.
MSI Research Lab
The ÉXITO MSI Research Lab seeks collaborations with Ethnic Studies and Feminist Studies faculty and graduate students to produce theoretical and practical contributions to the fields of Ethnic Studies and Education.
